Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Ask the Audience (But Don't Answer Unless You Know It!)

Why does anyone who doesn't know the answer for sure bother to vote?  If you don't know it, don't click a button. That way, if even one person knows the answer, the contestant will get it right.

In the above example, at least 69% of votes in the audience were wrong.  I don't know the answer to the question, and guess what?  I didn't vote.  Neither should the at-least 69% have voted. I'm sure the show's producers encourage (require?) them to make a guess.  But what are they going to do about it if you just don't vote?  Come on, folks.

  1. At least 69% of people can't even figure out how to feed themselves, with a plate of food and a fork right in front of them. This is well beyond what they can figure out.
